Luminous Silk Foundation | Armani

Now, I'm not huge on writing a review on products that are skincare related because I personally find it misleading. I have tried a number of products based on reviews only to be disappointed. Rather than review this foundation I would like to make a few mentionable notes about it. This foundation is by far the best foundation I have used (hence myself needing to write this).

I have literally used YSL Teint Resist, Chanel's version of Teint Resist as well as Laura Mercier and the list goes on.. but I recently was in dire need of foundation and the girl and Nordstrom's sent me down Armani lane.

Prior to this I hadn't heard much about Armani foundation so I was a bit skeptical but I have combination to oily skin and my skin is also quite acne prone. This foundation covers absolutely everything without even a sign of clogging my pores any further. I think I'm in foundation love.

There aren't very many advertising campaigns or any sort of flashy packaging that would draw you to this foundation but next time you're near an Armani counter.. it is definitely worth a sample.

PS. My make up lasted all day for the first time in years! From 6am until 10 pm when I finally decided it was time to call it a night.

Prepaaare!

It most definitely has not been your ordinary fall/winter season filled with dark and rich colours. It has been full of brights, whites and gold! I think this dress is great as a transitionary piece from winter 2012 to spring/summer 2013. Theory ($355).

I think sometimes as women we get lost in "equality" and "feminism" and lose the mystery and charm we once were renowned for. I think in addition to being smart and savvy it is important to maintain a sense of mystery and strong sexuality. I know many might disagree with me.. but it is what it is.

The most important thing in this life time is to follow your dreams and your heart. It is easy to get caught up in what others want you to do and want you to be.. because most of the time.. these suggestions come with the best intentions. However, I have learnt (the hard way) that it is the things that you love.. that keep you happy for the rest of your life.. and often make you successful. Success comes in many shapes and forms and isn't always entirely monetary.. you could be the happiest you've ever been (now I call that success)!
